Savvy shoppers know that with a little planning, they can earn cash back or rewards almost every time they shop.
Shopping the right retailers also can save you cash. In fact, some stores offer rewards on every purchase you make. Generally, you can enjoy the equivalent of up to 5 percent back on your purchases. But at some stores, the rewards can reach a whopping 20 percent.
Following are 13 retailers that reward you every time you hand over your green.

Sign up for Ace Rewards, and you’ll get 10 points for every dollar you spend. Accumulate 2,500 points, and you’ll earn a $10 reward. That’s the equivalent of saving 4 percent on every purchase.
You also receive 1,000 points just for signing up, plus coupons and sale reminders.

Although the exact amount will vary based on your final purchase price, the reward could amount to 20 percent back if you make five purchases of precisely $20 each.
You’ll also “get in the zone” with access to exclusive offers and promotions.

Join the My Best Buy program, and you’ll earn 0.5 points for every dollar spent. Once you hit 250 points, you get a $5 reward. That is a pretty modest reward — just 1 percent back.
However, rewards increase as you spend. For instance, if you make $1,500 in purchases during a calendar year, you’ll earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. That bumps the reward up to 2 percent.
Spend $3,500 in a calendar year, and the rate becomes 1.25 points for every dollar you part with — or 2.5 percent back.
You’ll also enjoy other benefits, such as free two-day shipping and free setup by the Geek Squad.

Sign up for the ExtraCare rewards program, and you’ll score 2 percent back on all your purchases. Rewards are paid out four times a year — in January, April, July and October.
However, it’s worth noting that you must spend $50 per earning period – or earn at least $1 in ExtraBucks Rewards — to get your rewards. Also, some items at CVS do not qualify for the 2 percent back. Find out more details at the ExtraCare frequently asked questions page.

In the Starbucks Rewards program, you earn two stars for every dollar you spend. Once you earn 300 stars in a calendar year, you qualify for Gold Level status. Customers at this level get a reward — usually a free drink of your choice — for every 125 stars they earn on purchases with their Starbucks Gold Card. They also get benefits such as free in-store refills and a treat on their birthday.
The only catch is that you’ll need a Starbucks gift card to enroll. But that should be no big deal – after all, if you love Starbucks, you’ll likely spend the bucks anyway.
Once you enroll your card, you’ll be entered at the Green Level and enjoy perks such as free in-store refills and a birthday reward. And you’ll be on your way to achieving Gold Level.
