From shopping through cash-back websites such as Rakuten to using discounted gift card websites like Raise, there are endless ways to save.
Shopping the right stores also can save you cash. Following are retailers that reward you every time you hand over your green.
1. Ace Hardware
Sign up for Ace Rewards, and you’ll get 10 points for every dollar you spend on most purchases. Accumulate 2,500 points, and you’ll earn a $5 reward.
You also receive member-only offers.
2. AutoZone
Join AutoZone Rewards, and you’ll earn a $20 reward after every five purchases of $20 or more.
3. CVS
Sign up for the ExtraCare rewards program, and you’ll score 2% back on CVS purchases as well as a $3 birthday reward. You will see the rewards in the CVS Pharmacy app on CVS.com, as well as on digital or paper receipts soon after you make the purchase.
However, it’s worth noting that you must spend $50 per earning period — or otherwise earn at least $1 in ExtraBucks Rewards — to get your rewards. Also, some items at CVS — including prescriptions and copays — do not qualify for the 2% back, according to the ExtraCare frequently asked questions page.
4. Dick’s Sporting Goods
Members of the Dick’s ScoreCard program get 1 point for every dollar spent. With 300 points, you get a $10 reward.
ScoreCard members also enjoy exclusive coupons.
5. Kohl’s
Enroll in Kohl’s Rewards, and you’ll earn 5% Kohl’s Rewards on your purchases. You’ll also receive a special gift on your birthday and opportunities to earn bonus points.

6. Office Depot/Office Max
Sign up for Office Depot/Office Max Rewards, and you’ll get 2% back in rewards on purchases in categories such as supplies, furniture and technology.
Spend $500 within a 12-month period, and you’ll earn VIP status. That gets you 5% back in rewards on ink, toner, paper and print services.
VIP status also gets you free shipping with no minimum purchase requirement and a gift on your birthday.
7. Petco
Pets can be expensive, but you can keep them from taking a bite out of your wallet by joining Petco’s Vital Care program. Members get points for eligible purchases and a $5 reward once they reach 167 points.

8. Staples
Members of Staples Easy Rewards earn 1 point per dollar spent in-store, online or using the store’s app. You can also choose three categories in which to earn double points. Every 200 points you earn can be used as $1 toward a qualifying purchase.
Members also get points for recycling ink or toner cartridges.
9. Ulta Beauty
Join Ulta’s Ulta Beauty Rewards program, and you will earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. Once you reach 100 points, you will be eligible to redeem them for $3 off your next purchase.
Members get even more back if they let their points accumulate before redeeming them. For example, 2,000 points earns you $125 off your next purchase.
Big spenders can achieve Platinum or Diamond status. These members earn 1.25 points or 1.5 points for every dollar spent, respectively, among other perks.

10. The North Face
Sign up for the XPLR Pass at The North Face and you’ll enjoy 10% off your first online order, exclusive discounts and a birthday gift. You’ll also get early — and sometimes exclusive — access to limited-edition collections.
You’ll also earn 1 point per dollar spent online or in-store and can then redeem 100 points for a $10 reward.
