Some folks are calling it “World Sandwich Day,” while others call it “National Sandwich Day.” But perhaps all that really matters is that free food is involved.
So, know that this food “holiday” falls on Friday, and a couple of restaurant chains are celebrating it by serving up some manner of free or cheap sandwiches.
Just note that in most cases, you should call the locations in your area to confirm they are participating in these offers.
1. Subway
If you buy any sub and a 30-ounce drink on Friday at participating locations, you will get one sub for free. Your freebie must cost as much as or less than the sub you buy.
Additionally, for every sub and 30-ounce drink purchased together on Friday, Subway will donate money for one meal to the nonprofit Feeding America.
This ubiquitous chain boasts that there are “more Subway restaurants in the world than any other restaurant chain.” Visit the “Find a Restaurant” page to search for your nearest location.
2. Schlotzsky’s
The small “Original” sandwich will be $2.99 on Friday at any Schlotzsky’s nationwide.
