May the force be with your wallet and willpower on Thursday if you are a fan of the “Star Wars” movies, or if you know one.

A huge number of products fashioned after the beloved movie franchise’s characters, vehicles and logos are on sale right now in observance of May 4. Also known as May the Fourth, that’s Star Wars Day for the uninitiated.

It’s perhaps the best day of the year to buy the latest Star Wars gear you can’t live without, or to buy a gift for your favorite fan — Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are coming up. And these retailers are offering some of the best deals and freebies you’ll find:

Amazon.com

Amazon is offering so many Star Wars discounts that it’s hard to keep track. The e-commerce giant tells us they include:

Visit Amazon.com/Star-Wars for more than 20,000 other Star Wars items.

When: Now through May 14, which is director George Lucas’ birthday

Where: Amazon’s Star Wars Store

Build-A-Bear Workshop (custom stuffed animals)

You get a free lightsaber accessory — a $12 value that can light up and make lightsaber sounds — with a $50 purchase that includes a Star Wars Furry Friend.

You’ll be able to choose your lightsaber at checkout. There’s a “while supplies last” disclaimer attached to this freebie, though, so order your extragalactic Furry Friend ASAP if you’re interested in this promotion.

When: Now through May 4

Where: BuildABear.com — use promo code STARWARSDAY17 at checkout

Hallmark

You get a free limited-edition three-piece Star Wars pin set if you spend at least $15 on select Star Wars gifts. This freebie is only available in stores, but you can scope out the nearly 200 Star Wars items that Hallmark sells online.

When: Now through May 4 (but again, note the “while supplies last” footnote)

Where: Participating Hallmark Gold Crown stores in the U.S.

ThinkGeek

More than 150 Star Wars items are 20 to 60 percent off, according to ThinkGeek’s homepage — although I noticed discounts as high as 80 percent off. Several of these items were recently featured in “May the Fourth Be With You — 15 ‘Star Wars’ Gadgets for Under $15.”

If you spend $50 on Star Wars products, you’ll get a $15 Maz pin for free. If you spend $80 on Star Wars items, you’ll also get a $15 Jabba the Hutt and Salacious Crumb pin for free. In either case, note the “limited time only” disclaimer, and enter promo code DONTSTARE at checkout.

When: ThinkGeek says the Star Wars sale ends at 11:59 p.m. ET May 6. Plus, I noticed a couple of Star Wars items were sold out by Wednesday morning.

Where: ThinkGeek.com

Zak Designs (kitchenware)

This company sells all manner of wares for eating and drinking — plates, bowls, drinking glasses, water bottles, you name it. That includes some 70 Star Wars items, all of which are 25 percent off.

The single most popular Star Wars item, at least as of Wednesday morning, is a 16-ounce ceramic mug sculpted after the droid character BB-8.

When: Now through May 8

Where: Zak.com
