Kindle is turning 10, and Amazon is celebrating the anniversary of its e-reader series in true Amazon fashion — by slashing prices.
You can nab certain Kindle e-readers for at least $30 off right now. You’ll also find a host of deals on Kindle travel accessories as well as e-books and audiobooks on Amazon’s site.
Just note that Amazon does not appear to have specified when most of these deals will end. And some websites report that all of these deals end as early as 9 p.m. ET Wednesday. So, don’t delay if you want to take advantage of slashed prices.
Kindle deals
E-readers that are on sale right now include the:
- Kindle — $49.99 instead of $79.99
- Kindle Paperwhite — $89.99 instead of $119.99
- Kindle Voyage — $169.99 instead of $199.99
- Kindle for Kids Bundle — $69.99 instead of $124.98
Note that this $89.99 price for the Kindle Paperwhite — the bestselling Kindle model — is as low as it was on Amazon Prime Day 2017 and even lower than it was on Black Friday 2016. These prices for the Kindle, Kindle Voyage and Kindle for Kids Bundle are just as low as they were on Black Friday.
So, if you plan to buy someone a Kindle for the holidays, this sale enables you to get some gift shopping out of the way early this year — no need to wait until Black Friday.
If you’re in the market for a luggage tag, tote bag or umbrella, items bearing the Kindle logo are all 20 percent off right now.
Deals on e-books and audiobooks
Top-selling Kindle e-books are up to 85 percent off during the Kindle anniversary sale. As of Tuesday morning, 100 such books across the following genres were part of the sale:
- Mystery and thrillers
- Literature and fiction
- Romance
- Science fiction and fantasy
- Nonfiction
Kindle Unlimited subscriptions — which entail unlimited access to more than 1 million e-books and thousands of audiobooks — are also on sale right now. You can snag one for up to 40 percent off, which is just as cheap as they were on Prime Day.
One-year Audible subscriptions are on sale for $99.50 instead of $149.50 — a deal that ends Wednesday. These subscriptions entail ad-free access to audiobooks and original audio content — including A-list celebrities narrating their favorite stories, full-cast performances and Grammy-award winning audiobooks.
