An Amazon original TV series recently earned two Golden Globe awards, but the e-commerce giant isn’t stopping there.

Amazon’s latest foray into television is its first live TV show, called “Style Code Live,” which began Tuesday and is now streaming on weeknights at 9 p.m. ET at www.amazon.com/stylecodelive.

Amazon announced the free 30-minute program prior to its premiere. Amazon describes it as “dedicated to fashion and beauty, featuring useful tips from style experts and viewers, looks the audience can easily shop, and an interactive viewing experience that includes live chat.”

CNBC likened the show to QVC’s home shopping channel, as the three hosts and their guests share fashion and makeup tips while — below the online video player — viewers are able to purchase products featured on the show.

The show hosts are:

  • Lyndsey Rodrigues, former host of MTV’s “Total Request Live”
  • Rachel Smith, ABC News correspondent for “Good Morning America” and “Nightline”
  • Frankie Grande, reality TV and Broadway actor

An Amazon spokesperson tells CNBC:

“We are really excited about the live format of the show because it gives people who are passionate about fashion and beauty a place to interact with each other, keep up with the latest trends, get fashion and beauty tips, ask questions and chat with the hosts, and easily find the products they want.”

On tonight’s episode, for example, topics will include “the do’s and don’ts of mixing prints” and “makeup tricks that will up your social media game.” The special guest with whom viewers will be able to chat is Meghan Trainor, a singer/songwriter who last month took home the Grammy award for Best New Artist.
