Online used-car retailer Carvana has unveiled a new tool that reveals in an instant the current value of your vehicle.

Carvana Value Tracker uses what the company describes as its “proprietary technology and competitive market data” to provide an estimate of your vehicle’s value. This includes a scan of millions of automotive transactions and recent changes in market conditions.

To get your car’s value, you need to input key information, including your:

  • License plate
  • Postal code
  • Mileage

Once you have this value, you can track changes in it over time. In a press release, Andrew Dickerson, director of engineering and special projects at Carvana, says:

“With Carvana Value Tracker, we are demystifying car selling by offering insight into a customer’s car’s value at any point in time, in a way that is actionable should they choose to sell.”

Carvana Value Tracker is free to use, and anyone can access it at carvana.com/value-tracker.

Carvana says after you input your information, the company will periodically update you about changes in your car’s value.
