The Crafter’s Square section of your local Dollar Tree store has become even more appealing.
All Dollar Tree stores in the U.S. — plus the chain’s website — are offering an expanded array of art and crafting supplies, the chain announced Monday.
Each store has between 4 and 12 additional feet of items such as:
- Wood crafts and picture frames
- Art paper
- Staple-backed canvases
- Acrylic paints and brushes
- Glitter
- Colored pencils and crayons
- Markers
- Jewels and beads
- Make-your-own wreath supplies
- Ribbons and yarn
- Scrapbooking stickers
- Seasonal items
You will also find more crafting essentials and tools, including:
- Hot glue guns and adhesives
- Scissors
- Tape
- Magnets
- Pins
- Portable sewing kits
- Storage containers
And of course, each item is just $1.
Dollar Tree says the Arts & Crafts Supplies section of its website also has been expanded. Crafters can find supplies at the website, as well as DIY blogs and video tutorials.
Dollar Tree introduced its Crafter’s Square initiative at some 650 stores in the 2019 fiscal year and started adding Crafter’s Square sections to more stores in 2020. Today, it’s available in all 7,500-plus Dollar Tree locations in the U.S.
The company said of Crafter’s Square as well as its Snack Zone in its latest quarterly report:
“We believe these initiatives have and will continue to enable us to increase sales and earnings.”
Snack Zone is a store layout that highlights quick snacks near checkout areas. It was available in 2,530 stores as of August.
The quarterly report also notes that Dollar Tree has been rolling out more frozen and refrigerated food, with about 6,300 locations offering such foods as of August.
To search for a Dollar Tree near you, use the store locator on the retailer’s website. Note that you can check off the “Crafter’s Square” box — or the “Snack Zone” or “Frozen/Refrigerated Foods” boxes — to find stores with those specific sections.
