Tax Day is full of freebies if you know where to look. Certain restaurants are offering discounts, and numerous retailers are offering a lot more cash back than usual through Ebates.com.

In fact, you can earn 10% cash back on online purchases from more than 150 retailers and other merchants today.

These places include:

  • Ace Hardware
  • Ann Taylor
  • Cabela’s
  • Charlotte Tilbury
  • Clinique
  • Coach
  • DermStore
  • Dick’s Sporting Goods
  • Dockers
  • eBags
  • GNC
  • J.C. Penney
  • Le Creuset
  • Levi’s
  • Men’s Wearhouse
  • New York & Co.
  • Omaha Steaks
  • Pier 1 Imports
  • Ralph Lauren
  • Ray-Ban
  • Sirius XM Radio
  • The Container Store
  • The Honest Co.
  • Under Armour
  • Walgreens
  • Zales

To view the complete list of merchants that are currently participating in this offer, visit Ebates’ webpage about this promotion.

And note that these cash-back percentages represent savings in addition to any other discounts — such as from shopping a sale or redeeming a coupon code — as well as any cash back that you might earn by paying with a cash-back credit card.

How it works

Ebates is a cash-back portal. So, by doing your online shopping through its website or app, you’ll earn cash back — during this promotion and in the future — on purchases from any of more than 2,000 retailers that partner with Ebates.

How is that possible? It’s simple. Ebates receives a commission from retailers for referring online shoppers to those retailers’ websites. Then, Ebates shares that commission with shoppers.

It’s free to sign up for an Ebates account, and it’s free to use the portal.

Ebates is among the oldest and best-known cash-back portals, but it’s not the only one. Others include TopCashback and Swagbucks Shop. Additionally, the free app Ibotta enables you to earn cash back on both online and in-store purchases.

Even if you already have an Ebates account, you might want to check out other cash-back portals because different portals often offer different cash-back percentages for a given retailer.
