You know what kind of food really goes down easy? Free food. Especially when that food comes from one of your favorite restaurants.

As it happens, many businesses — restaurants included — are more than happy to give you a little something for free in exchange for your email address.

These 11 restaurants will offer up free goodies — no purchase necessary — if you give them your email address and sign up for their rewards club:

  • IHOP: Score a free full stack of Rooty Tooty Fresh ‘N Fruity pancakes for joining the Pancake Revolution. You’ll also get a free full stack of pancakes on your birthday and on each anniversary of your sign-up.
  • TGI Fridays: After you complete a free online sign up for Fridays’ Give Me More Stripes customer recognition program, you’ll get a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert and one “Jump the Line Pass” that, as its name suggests, allows you to cut to the front of the line.
  • Joe’s Crab Shack: Enjoy a free appetizer at the crab shack after you join Joe’s Catch E-Club.
  • Del Taco: You’ll be rewarded with two free grilled chicken tacos for signing up for Del Taco’s Raving Fan E-Club. You’ll also get a free premium shake on your birthday.
  • Sbarro: Get a free slice of pizza and a birthday surprise when you sign up for the Sbarro Slice Society Email Club.
  • Zaxby’s: Join the Zax Mail Club and get a free meal deal right away and a free “Nibbler” on your birthday.
  • Qdoba: Score a free order of chips and salsa or a regular drink just for signing up for Qdoba Rewards.
  • Chili’s: You can get a free menu item for signing up for Chili’s MyRewards.
  • Sprinkles: Enjoy a free cupcake just for signing up for Sprinkles Perks. You’ll also get a free cupcake on your birthday.
  • Krispy Kreme: Get a free doughnut for signing up for the Krispy Kreme Rewards program.
  • Caribou Perks: Sign up for Caribou Perks and get a free medium drink.

If you want the restaurants’ deals, but not the headache of more email in your inbox, you can always sign up with your email address, use the coupon and then unsubscribe.

You may also want to consider creating a new email address that you use specifically for coupon and shopping deals.

I created an email for exactly that purpose. Now when restaurants, retailers and other businesses ask for my email, that’s what I give them. It really cuts down on inbox bloat while still allowing me to keep special sales and coupon-related emails in one place.

Do you willingly hand over your email address to take advantage of restaurant’s and retailers’ special offers and freebie offerings? Sound off below or on our Facebook page.
