AMC Theatres’ $5 Ticket Tuesday promotion is back — and “here to stay,” the chain says.

As the name suggests, the offer entails catching a flick on the big screen for $5. It’s available every Tuesday — along with a food-and-drink deal.

$5 Tuesday offers

The hitches of $5 Ticket Tuesday are minor. For example, to take advantage of the offer, you must:

  • Be a member of the AMC Stubs loyalty program, which you can join for free.
  • Buy movie tickets via AMC’s app or website.

Adam Aron, CEO and president of AMC Entertainment Holdings, recently said $5 Ticket Tuesday is meant to attract moviegoers on AMC’s least busy day of the week.

In addition, $5 Ticket Tuesday coincides with a food promotion called $5 Cameo Combo Tuesday. If you take advantage of both offers, you’ll get a movie, popcorn and soda for a total of $10.

AMC Stubs

AMC Theatres’ loyalty program, AMC Stubs, has two levels: Insider and Premiere. You can take advantage of $5 Ticket Tuesday with either membership level.

Joining Insider is free. Until June 10, joining Premiere costs an annual fee of $11.99 — which is 20 percent off the usual price.

To learn about other benefits of these memberships, visit the AMC Stubs webpage.
