Like Money Talks? Win a T-Shirt!

A few weeks back I was watching Animal House for about the millionth time when I heard my favorite line. Dean Wormer to Flounder: “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.”

It was then that divine inspiration struck. OK, maybe not divine, but inspiration. I said to my dog, “That’s it! That’s the T-shirt we need! Well, maybe not that T-shirt, but something kind of like it.” The dog agreed – the dog always agrees. So a few weeks and hundreds of dollars later, I picked up 100 T-shirts with a slogan destined to carve out a place in personal finance history.

“Money Talks News…because broke, stupid and lonely is no way to go through life.”

Hopefully the “broke” and “stupid” are self-explanatory. Why the “lonely?” Because our ultimate mission is to provide a thriving community where like-minded people can gather to exchange ideas, offer each other encouragement and – just maybe – have a little fun.

Want one? Win one!

They’re available in our store, but heaven knows you’re way too frugal for that. So here’s all you have to do: simply “like” us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter. Then stay tuned for trivia and other contests that will allow you to win one of your very own!

Liking us takes about a second – way more than you’ve already spent reading this. So take one more second and like us! Best case scenario, you win a T-shirt that will definitely have people talking to you (seriously – about 50 people have stopped me so far.) Worst case? You’ll make us feel good. See? No downside. So what are you waiting for?

Note: We love all our readers, including those in other countries. But because of the added expense and hassle of mailing T-shirts to Canada and other international destinations, this contest is open only to those living in the U.S.
