If you are planning a big trip this summer, you might be able to score a better deal on a hotel room thanks to a new website.

HotelSlash is a membership-based booking site that gives users exclusive access to discounted rates on more than 1 million hotel properties around the globe, according to a company press release.

In addition, HotelSlash tracks your reservation and alerts you if prices drop, so you can re-book at the better rate. According to the press release:

“Using its proprietary algorithm, HotelSlash not only seeks exact room matches at lower prices but also identifies opportunities for upgraded rooms and other auxiliary benefits. For instance, a customer who initially booked a standard room without breakfast might benefit from HotelSlash’s algorithm, which could uncover an equal or lower rate that includes breakfast or even an upgrade to a superior room.”

An annual membership to HotelSlash costs $29.95, although the company says it offers a “no-questions asked, 100% refund guarantee.” You also can use the service for free during a trial period and will not be required to provide your credit card information.

HotelSlash says it can track your reservation and let you know if a better deal emerges regardless of whether you booked your room on HotelSlash or another site.

However, the option to learn of available upgrade opportunities appears to be available only to those who book their room at HotelSlash itself.

The new site is the product of the creators of AutoSlash, a platform that helps users get deals on car rentals. The company says those who have used HotelSlash thus far have saved an average of up to 30% on hotel rates when they book about one month ahead of their arrival date.
