Home prices nationwide dipped in September, but the decline was even more pronounced in some markets, according to a Realtor.com survey.
Prices fell 1% year over year during the month, leaving the median list price at $425,000 as October began. Despite this slide, the cost per square foot was actually up by 2.3%. That is because more smaller homes now are being listed for sale.
Still, prices declined in more than half of the top 50 housing markets. Following are the places where Realtor.com says prices fell most year over year.
10. Nashville, TN

8. Orlando, FL

5. Austin, TX
