Amazon Prime members scored big on Prime Day 2022, snatching up more than 300 million items and saving over $1.7 billion, Amazon announced.
Worldwide, Prime members mostly took advantage of savings on consumer electronics and items for their homes.
In the U.S. specifically, the following items were among the most popular with Prime members, according to Amazon.
Apple Watch Series 7
The Apple Watch Series 7 is the most advanced Apple Watch to date with sensors and apps that measure blood oxygen levels, notify you of irregular heart rhythms and track your sleep. Prime members could get this smartphone-compatible accessory for up to 30% off during the two-day sales event.
Amazon devices
More Amazon devices were sold during this Prime Day than any other Prime Day event.
Among the bestsellers in the U.S. were Echo devices and Fire TV devices, the latter of which includes both TV sets and streaming media players. Blink home security devices were also a big hit, especially with the Blink Video Doorbells selling for up to 50% off.
Oral-B electric toothbrushes
Bright, beautiful smiles are always in style, so it’s no surprise Oral-B electric toothbrushes sold like hotcakes on Prime Day. Oral-B has a wide selection of electric toothbrushes, including the iO series, which offers real-time coaching to ensure you get the best clean every time.
Shark home cleaning appliances

Millions of people had the same idea during Prime Day: to refresh their summer wardrobe with new sunglasses and swimsuits. U.S. shoppers purchased more than 1 million of each.
When it comes to Amazon's bestselling sunglasses, name brands like Oakley currently dominate the list. You can find all different shapes and styles, many of which feature polarized lenses.
Beats by Dr. Dre
Prime members flocked to Beats by Dr. Dre headphones and earbuds, which boast pristine sound and a long battery life. For instance, the Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones give you up to 40 hours of entertainment.
Premium beauty brands
Amazon reported significant sales from first-class beauty brands like NuFace and Laneige, which are known for their award-winning microcurrent devices and ultra-hydrating skin care line, respectively.
Colgate teeth-whitening products
As has also been the case on Prime Days past, Crest’s teeth-whitening products were popular this year. Crest offers teeth-whitening strips and emulsions as part of its well-known 3D White line in addition to its smaller Arc line, which boasts professional-level results.
