June marks the start of summer — and some sizzling hot offers! This month, you can enjoy a host of fabulous freebies, ranging from complimentary doughnuts to a gratis computer camp for kids.

Offered in most states in honor of National Fishing and Boating Week (June 2-10), Free Fishing Days allow anglers “to fish on public bodies of water without a fishing license.” Not every state offers this deal during June, so be sure to check out this state-by-state calendar.

Want to have a ball with your children or grandchildren this summer? Register them for the Kids Bowl Free program, in which select bowling centers nationwide provide children ages 15 and under with two free games of bowling per day for the entire summer. According to the website:

It’s NBA Finals time, and that means you have a shot at a free taco at Taco Bell. The first time a visiting team wins a game on the road — in essence, “steals” a game — you get to steal a free taco.

If the visiting team first wins games 2 or 3, you get a free taco from 2-6 p.m. on June 13.

If the visiting team first wins games 4, 5, 6 or 7, you get a free taco from 2-6 pm. on June 20.

Free books for kids at Barnes & Noble — through Sept. 3

If your children are wondering what to do this summer, stroll with them over to Barnes & Noble. The bookseller is hosting its annual Summer Reading Program and offering free books to kids to encourage them to read all summer long.

Just head to the store and ask for a Summer Reading Journal, or download it online at BN.com/summer reading.

Children in first through sixth grade who read eight books of their choice and return the journal by Sept. 3 can choose a free book from the titles featured on the back of the journal — including classics such as “Pete the Cat,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Artemis Fowl.”

Free computer camps for kids — ongoing
