Loyal Aldi shoppers know it well — the legendary “Aisle of Shame.”
The affectionate nickname is a nod to the delights and temptations this section of the store poses to customers.
Everything from clothing to home decor lines the shelves of the Aldi Finds area (its official moniker), and the selection typically changes every Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the latest Aldi Finds items that caught our eye.
They should be available in stores through July 22 — assuming they don’t sell out, that is. So, if something catches your eye, you may want to call ahead to make sure your local store still has it in stock before you drive there.
LED lawn orb
Price: $14.99
Designed for outdoor use, the Casalux LED lawn orb is a true statement piece. The battery-operated light changes colors, cycling through a rainbow of eight hues.
For $14.99, buyers can choose from a single large orb (8.66 inches in diameter) or two smaller orbs (each 5.9 inches in diameter).
Here’s what I love most about these lights:
- They’re cordless. You can arrange them anywhere — light a path, add drama to landscape features or illuminate an evening barbecue.
- With the included remote, it’s easy to dim or change the colors on demand.
- The price is right. Similar orbs might dim your wallet. This 8-inch version on Amazon cost $42.99 as of this writing.
Wooden lap tray
Price: $14.99
My biggest pet peeve with trays is the dimensions. Most are either sized for serving a holiday turkey or a single cup of coffee. But the Crofton lap tray is in the “Goldilocks zone.” It measures nearly 17 inches long and 13.5 inches wide.
Made of acacia wood, the tray has a slight lip around the edge, making it perfect for serving food. But it’s shallow enough to use for laptop work, reading or playing a card game.
Padding on the underside makes the tray more comfortable to use without sacrificing stability. Even better, the cushion’s cover can be removed for washing.
Other similarly sized trays are significantly more expensive. At Walmart, the bamboo Rossie Home lap tray cost $32.99 as of this writing. And on Wayfair, the Gracie Oaks acacia lap tray was listed for a whopping $87.99 — and that’s a sale price!
