Volkswagen Group of America has recalled over 57,000 vehicles due to a faulty rearview camera display.
The recall was issued because a low-voltage electrical event may cause the rearview camera image to fail to display, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall report.
As of July 22, Volkswagen was not aware of any crashes, injuries or deaths associated with the recall. The company was, however, aware of 571 claims that may relate to the recall, according to the NHTSA report.

Volkswagen dealerships will update the rearview camera software for free.
Consumers may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298. The recall number is 91TV. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in the recall are searchable on the NHTSA website.
