Even if you have no plans to celebrate Halloween, you can take advantage of the “holiday” as an opportunity to score discounts and freebies — especially those involving food.

We’ve rounded up 10 of the best Halloween offers from restaurants, fast-food joints and dessert shops this year.

Some are already underway and will run through Halloween, which falls on Tuesday. Most are available only on Oct. 31 itself. Several offers require you or your child or grandchild to be in costume, but most do not.

Just be sure to call ahead to the locations in your area to confirm they’re participating in a particular restaurant chain’s Halloween promotion.

Offers available this weekend

  1. Pizza Hut: Get 25 percent off online orders from participating locations now through Halloween. Use code SCARYGOOD25.
  2. Red Robin: Get 15 percent off to-go and catering orders from participating locations now through Halloween. This includes orders placed online and by phone — use promo code BOO15.
  3. Spaghetti Warehouse: A Family Feast for 4 is available for $30 with a coupon if you dine in Saturday through Halloween. The feast includes two portions of 15-layer lasagna; two portions of chicken parmigiana; and two portions of your choice of either spaghetti and meatballs or fettuccine Alfredo.

And remember, Saturday is the last day of PetSmart’s Halloween Spooktacular, and Bass Pro Shops’ Great Pumpkin Celebration is going on now through Halloween.

Offers available on Halloween only

  1. Baskin-Robbins: Ice-cream scoops are $1.50.
  2. BurgerFi: Show up in costume to get a free frozen custard. Mention or display the Facebook post about this offer to claim your freebie.
  3. Chipotle Mexican Grill: Show up in costume to get a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $3 from 3 p.m. to closing time.
  4. Cicis: Kids in costume get a free kids buffet with the purchase of an adult buffet and regular or larger size drink.
  5. IHOP: Kids age 12 and younger get one free Scary Face Pancake if they dine in at participating locations between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. “Come to your favorite IHOP and create the spookiest, kookiest pancake you can imagine using strawberries, whipped topping, Mini OREO cookies, candy corn,” the chain says.
  6. McAlister’s Deli: Kids age 12 and younger who are in costume get free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree if they dine in from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The chain notes that this offer may vary by location, but a lengthy list of participating locations is available on this Facebook event page.
