With Independence Day falling on a Thursday, some sales will last from today into the weekend.

Following is a look at some of the best holiday sales you can shop today or beyond.

For more ways to save this time of year, check out “7 Freebies to Celebrate in July” and “5 Restaurant Deals for Fourth of July Week.”

1. Amazon

They aren’t exactly Independence Day deals, but you will find a growing number of early Prime Day deals available this week, as we reported in “7 Amazon Prime Day Deals You Can Grab Now.”

2. Cost Plus World Market

Outdoor items are up to 50% off right now at this sister retailer to Bed Bath & Beyond.

Plus, now through Saturday, you will save 10% to 20% on your purchase, with the greater discount if you are a member of the World Market Rewards program (use code HAPPYJULY4 or WMJULY4, respectively).

3. Costco

Costco stores are closed on Independence Day, but you can shop Costco.com 24/7.

Major appliances are on sale right now as part of a Fourth of July sale. The discounts are for members only, so you may have to log in to your Costco account to view the sale prices.

Visit Costco’s home page for plenty of other promotions that are available right now. You will find savings on everything from clothing and vitamins to furniture and car tires.

4. Home Depot

About a dozen product categories are part of Home Depot’s Red, White & Blue Savings event. You will find the steepest discounts on:

  • Select furniture and home decor — up to 35% off

5. Lands’ End

This retailer has been offering discounts of 40% and 50% on various clothing categories on different days this week. The latest such deal ended Wednesday night, so check Lands’ End’s website Thursday for a new deal.

6. Old Navy

Everything is up to 60% off, with prices starting at $4.

7. Pier 1 Imports

Save 25% on your entire purchase through Sunday. That means you will get an additional 25% off sale- and clearance-priced items and even buy-one-get-one (BOGO) items.

If you shop in stores, the discount will be applied at checkout. To get the discount online, enter code FIREWORKS at checkout.
