Amazon is now offering Prime members a health care benefit for just $9 a month, or $99 a year.

Those who sign up for this benefit can get care through One Medical, a company Amazon recently purchased.

Benefits of a One Medical membership include unlimited access to 24/7 virtual care, which involves video chats with licensed providers, at no additional cost.

Amazon says that as a member of One Medical, you also get access to a “Treat Me Now” app feature “that lets you get fast care for common concerns such as cold and flu, skin issues, allergies, urinary tract infections, and more.”

In addition, One Medical members can schedule same-day or next-day remote or in-person appointments if they live near a One Medical location. Amazon says hundreds of these primary care offices are available across the country.

Members who schedule in-person office visits can use their insurance or pay out of pocket for the services.

The One Medical benefit offers big savings for Prime members. Normally, a One Medical membership costs $199 annually.

Prime members can also add up to five additional One Medical memberships to their account, with each of these memberships costing $6 monthly.

To sign up for the One Medical benefit or learn more about it, Prime members can go to health.amazon.com/prime.

Amazon is the second major retailer to recently unveil a health benefit. As we reported in September, Costco members now can access health care services through Sesame at an exclusive discount.
