Car models are often here today, gone tomorrow. Even some beloved vehicles eventually fall out of favor with both manufacturers and drivers.

When this happens, it breaks the hearts of a segment of car buffs. Every car model has its fan base, so the end of the line for a car model can be a dark day for some folks.

Sometimes, when a model is about to go to that great dealership in the sky, it also makes the last version of the model more desirable, according to iSeeCars. But more often, shoppers can get a deal on these suddenly unpopular vehicles.

If you are planning to shop for a soon-to-be-discontinued model, use that fact to your advantage. When you sit down with the salesperson to negotiate a price, iSeeCars recommends mentioning the model’s imminent demise as leverage while you haggle.

You also might want to shop soon. In a summary of the study’s findings, iSeeCars executive analyst Karl Brauer says:

“The colder weather and holiday distractions generally make the end of the year a good time to buy a car. Combine those factors with leftover new 2024 or 2025 models that dealers can’t seem to unload, and a deal-making opportunity is likely for buyers looking to take advantage of ‘leftover’ or ‘discontinued’ status.”

Of course, it’s important to be realistic about what you can accomplish. As iSeeCars says, discontinued models such as the Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman “probably won’t be discounted as 2025 transitions to 2026, because they’re seen as unique performance cars with a passionate fan base.”

But you might get better deals on many other soon-to-be-discontinued vehicles. With that in mind, here are 23 car models that have just been discontinued, opening the opportunity to score bargains on many of them. We also list the current average price of each model:
