Flo App Users Eligible for $59.5M Settlement Payment. How to Claim

Gemini / Google

Millions of people who used the Flo fertility tracking app during a three-year window could receive part of a nearly $60 million class action lawsuit settlement.

According to the settlement website, those who used the Flo fertility app between Nov. 1, 2016, and Feb. 28, 2019, are eligible for a payout. The sign-up window for a share of the $59.5 million settlement is open until Oct. 15.

As of Oct. 5, it is unclear how much each affected individual will receive. The final payment will depend on the total number of claimants.

The payments follow a class action lawsuit filed in 2021 by app users against Flo, mobile app analytics platform Flurry, Google and Meta. The suit alleged that the menstrual cycle tracking app shared users’ private health data with the tech companies after promising it would not.

On July 21, 2025, the case against Flo and the other defendants proceeded to trial. Before the court ruled on the accusations, Flo, Google and Flurry agreed to settle the lawsuit. They deny all allegations and say they did nothing wrong.

People who downloaded and used the Flo fertility app between Nov. 1, 2016, and Feb. 28, 2019, can submit a claim at periodtrackerdataprivacylitigation.com. The deadline is Oct. 15, according to the settlement website.

Eligible users can choose to receive settlement payments through PayPal, Venmo, Apple Pay, Amazon, direct deposit or paper check.

A preliminary settlement agreement obtained by USA TODAY says claimants in California would receive double what claimants in other states will receive. The final settlement is subject to court approval on Oct. 29, according to court records.

What about Meta?

Although Flo, Flurry and Google settled, Meta was found liable in August 2025 “for its role in the unauthorized collection and commercial use of highly personal health data entered into the Flo App in violation of the California Invasion of Privacy Act,” according to the settlement website.

Those eligible to receive money from the “Meta Verdict” will be contacted “at a later time,” the settlement website states. Choosing to receive funds from the Flo, Flurry and Google settlement will not affect their right to receive money from the Meta verdict.
