Gluten-Free Mixes, Flour Recalled: See the Affected Products

Bread and pizza mixes, as well as all-purpose flour labeled as gluten-free, were recalled because they contain undeclared wheat gluten, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

GF Blends recalled the products sold nationwide through online retailers. The products were made with plantain flour from PMF Global. Although the flour was labeled and certified as gluten-free, third-party testing found gluten in the flour and products made with it.

The FDA allows products with less than 20 parts per million of gluten to be labeled gluten-free, according to the Celiac Disease Foundation. But the gluten levels in the bread mix exceeded the FDA’s limit, according to the agency’s news release.

People who have celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance may face adverse health effects or allergic reactions if they consume these products.

No adverse reactions related to the recalled products have been reported.

Which Gluten-Free Products Were Recalled?

The recalled GF Blends products include:

• Truly AIP all-purpose flour, 15.3 ounces: lot 260225, best-by Feb. 25, 2028.
• Truly AIP all-purpose flour, 15.3 ounces: lot 260610, best-by June 10, 2028.
• Truly AIP bread mix, 14 ounces: lot 260417, best-by April 17, 2028.
• Truly AIP bread mix, 14 ounces: lot 260617, best-by Dec. 17, 2027.
• EAT G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R flatbread pizza mix, 163 grams and 3.98 pounds: lot 260327, best-by July 27, 2027, and Sept. 27, 2027.
• EAT G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R flatbread pizza mix, 163 grams: lot 260803, best-by Feb. 3, 2028.

Where Were the Products Sold?

The products were sold online nationwide through Eatgangster.com, Trulyaip.com and Amazon.com. According to the FDA news release, they were sold until Sept. 12.

People with celiac disease or gluten intolerance should not consume the products. Customers should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
