A new feature promises to help you find cheaper fares the next time you use Google Flights.
The “Cheapest” tab is designed to help travelers find the lowest-priced fares when they are willing to sacrifice convenience to get the best deal, according to a post on the Google blog “The Keyword.”
The blog post states:
“You may find that some of the options under the ‘Cheapest’ tab involve more…creative itineraries, like longer layovers, self-transfers or purchasing different legs of the trip through multiple airlines or booking sites. But for those times when cost matters more than convenience, the new tab gives you an easy way to see the lowest prices available and then decide for yourself what tradeoffs you want to make.”
To use this tab, you simply enter your trip details — such as where you’re traveling from and to and on what dates — and then tap “Cheapest,” as opposed to “Best.” Google says the update will roll out globally over the next couple of weeks.
