5 Stores With Green Monday Deals of 50% off — or More

Perhaps you’ve never heard of Green Monday, but don’t let that stop you from taking advantage of the deals.

This retail holiday, which falls on the second Monday in December, is something of a second Cyber Monday: You can find deals as big as on Cyber Monday or Black Friday.

Following are some of the best discounts you will find at some of the biggest retailers this Green Monday.

Amazon

The retail giant is currently offering plenty of last-minute deals on Amazon devices, including tablets, smart speakers and streaming media players. The prices on many of these items are as low as they were on Black Friday.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond is offering $20 off a purchase of $80 or more for Green Monday.

Plus, items in numerous departments happen to be on sale right now, discounted by up to 50%.

To boost your savings, first take advantage of another offer that ends today (which is buried at the bottom of BB&B’s home page): Buy $50 or more in e-gift cards and get a $10 e-gift card for free. If you combine this with the $20-off deal, you could get $80 worth of stuff for $50 — or less, if you’re buying stuff that is already on sale!

Note that today is also the last day you can order something online if you want it to arrive by Christmas — and BB&B has lowered its free-shipping minimum to $19.

J.C. Penney

J.C. Penney is offering an extra 30% off select clothing, shoes, accessories, fine jewelry and home goods for Green Monday. Use coupon code “GREENBUY” at checkout to get this deal.

Of course, items in multiple departments also happen to be on sale, up to 50% off. If you apply the Green Monday deal to items that are already on sale, you could save up to 80%.

Note that today is also the last day you can order something online if you want it to arrive by Christmas.

Michael’s

This arts and crafts store is offering a host of steep deals — up to 70% off — for Green Monday. They cover picture frames, decor, kids’ activities, art supplies, paper crafting supplies, yarn, craft machines and more.

If you’re 55 or older, you can take an extra 10% off your purchase, as we explain in “11 Senior Discounts for Anyone Age 55 or Older.”

Target

Target is offering several one-day-only deals today. They include:

  • 25% off select home goods, including kids home items
  • Up to 50% off select toys
  • Up to 40% off select electronics
  • Up to 50% select Conair and Quip products

Numerous other sales are also going on, offering discounts of up to 50%.

Also worth noting is the Target Circle Offer of the Week: $10 off when you spend $30 or more on personal care or beauty items. (Circle is Target’s loyalty program, which you can join for free online.)
