For McDonald’s fans, winter is coming.
The fast-food giant is kicking off the holiday season with a lineup of festive drinks slated to debut at participating restaurants nationwide on Nov. 3. The announcement comes the same day the McRib returned to select markets for a limited time.
From Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer to the Cookie Butter Latte, McDonald’s offers fans a chance to revel in the holiday spirit early.
“For some… the holidays begin when the calendar says so,” McDonald’s said in an Oct. 27 announcement. “For others, they start with traditions like the first festive playlist, the first holiday movie, or the first sip of a seasonal bev.”
The Full Holiday Drink Lineup
- Frosted Cranberry Splash with Sprite: A crisp Sprite infused with bright orange and cranberry flavors, featuring cold foam and cranberry sprinkles for a refreshing finish.
- Red Bull Frosted Cranberry Energizer: The bold, uplifting flavor of Frosted Cranberry with cold foam and sprinkles meets the energizing boost of Red Bull, made for packed holiday schedules and festive adventures. Available with classic Red Bull and Red Bull Zero.
- Cookie Butter Frappé, Latte and Iced Coffee: A creamy blend of rich cookie butter flavor topped with caramel cookie crumbs and sweet vanilla whip for a seasonal treat.
Disney Villains Boo Buckets Are Back
In addition to the new beverages, the return of McDonald’s Boo Buckets is well underway. This year, though, the seasonal accessory has a villainous Disney twist.
According to McDonald’s, each pail comes with a lid inspired by the Disney villain featured on the bucket and stickers with “iconic characters and details true fans will recognize.” The Boo Bucket has been a Halloween tradition at McDonald’s, periodically returning since its debut in 1986.
Released Oct. 20, McDonald’s Disney Villains Boo Buckets will replace the traditional Happy Meal box as supplies last. Prices are determined by each individual restaurant and may vary based on location.
When you order a Boo Bucket Meal in a restaurant or the McDonald’s app, you can choose from several entrées: a hamburger (you can add cheese) and 4-piece or 6-piece Chicken McNuggets meals. You also get a drink, apple slices, and French fries.
