Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 30,000 vehicles over a brake line issue that could increase a driver’s crash risk, according to a recent notice posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
According to the NHTSA, the Oct. 2 recall covers certain models of the luxury automaker made from 2022 to 2025. The recall involves an issue with the vehicle’s front brake hose, which officials say could leak or even rupture, increasing the distance needed to stop the car.
Affected owners are expected to be notified by mail on Nov. 27. The NHTSA said dealers will replace the front brake hoses free of charge. In total, 30,064 cars are affected by the recall.
