Sam’s Club customers may be eligible for a $170 refund after a Christmas decoration sold last year has been recalled for posing a burn hazard, according to a notice published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

According to the recall notice, if the decoration’s wires are connected incorrectly, the current-limiting resistor can overheat, posing a burn hazard.

The recall affects about 2,460 units.

What Sam’s Club Christmas Decoration Is Being Recalled?

The recalled product is the Members Mark 7′ Pre-Lit Twinkling Buck, a light-up reindeer with a bow.

What Should You Do If You Bought the Recalled Sam’s Club Christmas Decoration?

Sam’s Club is asking consumers to stop using the product and contact Seasonal Specialties, the company that imported the product from China, to request a refund or repair kit. The repair kit includes instructions for connecting the wires, color-coded wire labels, and a cord tag warning sticker.

No injuries have been reported in connection with the recall. However, Sam’s Club has received five reports of smoke and a burning smell coming from the product.
