Lawn trimmers, swing seats, dressers, baby bath seats and bicycles are among products recalled for safety hazards this week. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission published eight new recall notices Thursday, Oct. 8; here are details on several of the larger recalls.
DR Power Equipment Trimmer Mowers
DR Power Equipment recalled more than 42,000 Pilot and Premier Trimmer Mowers because grass and debris can accumulate, ignite and cause serious injury or death from fire and burns. As of Oct. 8, the company had received 19 reports of mowers catching fire, including two reports of minor injuries such as blisters on hands and feet, according to the CPSC.
The walk-behind mowers are orange and black, with a DR Power logo on the top of the motor and frame above the cutter head. The frame is labeled “Premier” or “Pro.” They were sold nationwide at Ace, TSC, Bomgaars and other hardware and power-equipment stores, as well as online, from November 2022 through July 2026 for $380 to $550. The total includes 340 units sold in Canada.

Pacearth Swing Seats
Pacearth Direct recalled about 110,000 U-type swing seats because the seat, metal connectors or webbing straps can break, creating a fall hazard. The company had received at least 30 reports of falls, including nine injuries such as fractures, head injuries and bruises, as of Oct. 8.
The seats were sold on Amazon from May 2017 through June 2026 for $27 to $57. They came in several colors, including green, blue, pink, red and turquoise, and were sold individually or in two-packs. A yellow-plastic-coated chain and yellow webbing straps connect the seat to a swing set or tree branches.
Stop using the seat and contact Pacearth Direct for a full refund. Write “RECALLED” on it with permanent marker, photograph the seat with its Pacearth logo visible, and email the photo to [email protected].
Romorgniz Six-Drawer Dressers
Zhangzhou Jinhao Sen Smart Home Co. recalled more than 12,000 Romorgniz six-drawer dressers because an unanchored dresser can tip over and trap children. The company had not received reports of injuries as of Oct. 8.
The dressers were sold on Amazon from May 2025 through August 2026 for $100 to $170. They came in white and black, measure 27.6 inches wide by 15.6 inches long by 43.2 inches tall, and weigh 73.3 pounds.
Stop using the dresser if it is not anchored to a wall, or move it somewhere children cannot reach. Contact the company for a full refund. Write “RECALLED” on the top, front and sides, remove all drawers, and email photos to [email protected]. Then dispose of the dresser.
Onthewei Baby Bath Seats
Hubei Youhong Trading Co. recalled more than 2,000 baby bath seats because they do not meet mandatory safety standards, are unstable and can tip over in a bathtub, posing a drowning risk. The company had no reports of injuries as of Oct. 8.
The seats were sold on Amazon in April for $40 to $50 in gray, pink, blue and green. They have detachable restraint arms and suction arms on the bottom. The recalled seats have model number MY002 and a manufacture date of Jan. 10, 2026, printed on the back.
Stop using the seat and contact Hubei Youhong Trading Co. for a full refund. Write “RECALLED” on the front, disassemble it, cut off the three suction cups and email a photo of the destroyed seat to [email protected]. Then dispose of it.
Decathlon Van Rysel GRVL AF Bicycles
Decathlon America recalled more than 1,000 Van Rysel GRVL AF bicycles because the front lock nut can loosen, causing the front wheel to loosen or come off and creating a crash hazard. The company had no reports of injuries as of Oct. 8.
The adult gravel bikes were sold at REI Co-op stores and on REI’s website from March 2025 through August 2026 for $1,400 to $2,300. They came in extra-small through extra-large sizes and in graphite black, cream, granite pink and coriander brown. The affected product IDs, model names, REI SKUs and product names are listed below.
