If you spend at least $100 on certain products from Procter & Gamble brands, you will get a free $25 Costco gift card, which the retailer refers to as a Costco Shop Card. And you can do this twice over — for a total of $50 in free Costco gift cards.

How to get a free $25 Costco gift card this month

Costco members can take advantage of the current offer for a free $25 Costco gift card by buying $100 worth of eligible products at a Costco warehouse or from Costco’s website until Sept. 27.

The eligible products include those from brands like:

• Cascade
• Crest
• Dawn
• Downy
• Febreze
• Gillette
• Head & Shoulders
• Metamucil
• Swiffer
• Tide

Note that the eligible items you buy must total at least $100 after accounting for discounts and before applying taxes.

To redeem your free Costco gift card, you must submit proof of your purchases. You can submit your receipts online or by mail.

Visit the special website for this promotion, GetPGoffer.com, to submit photos of your receipts by Oct. 30 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Or, print out the form available on that website and snail-mail the form and copies of your receipts to the address on the form, postmarked by Oct. 30.

You will receive your free Costco gift card within two weeks if you submit your receipts online or within four weeks if you submit them by mail.

How to make the most of the P&G offer

Note that each household can receive two $25 Costco Cash Cards, according to the P&G offer website’s FAQ page. So, if you have enough extra storage space at home to stock up on $200 worth of eligible products, you could net yourself $50 in free Costco gift cards.

It’s not like any of the eligible items are perishable foods, and Costco Shop Cards do not expire. So, you have little to lose by stocking up on eligible items so you can double up on free gift cards.

Another way to make the most of this promotion is to buy eligible items that happen to be on sale at Costco right now — which is more than a dozen items.

All eligible products are listed on Costco’s “Get P&G Offer” webpage. From there, you can identify those that happen to be on sale this month by looking for the words “after $X off” next to the product price.
