Nobody likes vehicle recalls. Fortunately, choosing the right car model might help you avoid this inconvenience.

In 2023, more than 300 recalls were issued, impacting 35 million vehicles, according to automotive website iSeeCars. However, if you buy the right type of vehicle, your odds of a recall can plunge.

Recently, iSeeCars analyzed recall data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for the model years between 2015 and 2024. After doing so, iSeeCars determined the number of recalls that can be expected over an individual model’s 30-year lifespan.

Following are the car models expected to have the fewest recalls over the course of a 30-year period, all of which are expected to have just 10% of the recalls you would normally expect from a car.
