With FOX airing the 2023 World Series, you’ll be able to watch the big event through most cable, satellite and live TV streaming providers.

But FOX is also widely accessible as an over-the-air digital TV station. This means you don’t necessarily need a comprehensive TV plan to get the channel. Instead, all you need is a TV and a digital antenna.

If you have an antenna within range of a local FOX affiliate, you’ll get access without signing up for a TV plan to every World Series game through 2028 (according to the rights deal between FOX and Major League Baseball). We go into more detail about antenna access in our section about watching the World Series for free.

To watch the World Series with Spanish-language commentary, you’ll need to subscribe to a whole TV plan that includes Fox Deportes. YouTube TV carries the channel in its Spanish-only plan for $34.99 a month.

We recommend this option for Spanish-speaking viewers because you’ll get over 25 other channels and unlimited DVR space. Plus, there’s no equipment necessary and you can cancel anytime.

Which TV providers show the World Series?

How to watch the 2023 World Series for free

  • Recommended antenna: Mohu Leaf 50 ($59.99, one-time purchase)
  • World Series channels: FOX
  • Features: All local broadcast channels

You can watch the 2023 World Series for free through your local FOX station, but you’ll first need to connect a digital antenna to your TV.

Many of the best antennas cost anywhere from $20 to $60. But after the one-time payment, you’ll get free access to FOX and several other over-the-air (OTA) channels, depending on your location.

One of our favorite antennas is the Mohu Leaf 50 because of its 60-mile range, 4K capabilities and overall durability. You can also view other great options on our Best OTA Antennas page.

If you can’t use a digital antenna, the World Series is still accessible by signing up for a free trial through a live TV streaming service.

Not all services offer free trials, and most only last seven days — meaning you may have to juggle between two different trials for complete World Series coverage. And, don’t forget to cancel on time.

The 2023 World Series will air entirely on FOX and Fox Deportes. FOX provides English-language coverage, while Fox Deportes has Spanish-language commentary.

Since FOX is available as an over-the-air channel, you can easily catch the Fall Classic and other MLB playoff games by connecting a digital antenna to your TV.

The Mohu Leaf 50 is an excellent antenna because it offers a 60-mile range with amplified technology for better channel reception.

If you prefer watching the Spanish-language broadcast on Fox Deportes, you’ll need a more specialized TV plan to tune in.

YouTube TV offers a great Spanish-language plan for $34.99 a month. It comes with Fox Deportes and 25+ other channels — including sports networks like beIN SPORTS en Español and ESPN Deportes.
