Want to earn an A-plus in saving money? Select a streaming service that offers a price break for students.
A handful of streaming services offer student discounts that can range as high as 75% off the standard price.
The following are the services that can provide some cheap entertainment to cash-strapped students.
1. Hulu

Students get 75% off the ad-supported plan for Hulu, making the cost just $1.99 per month. Student enrollment must be verified. New and existing Hulu-billed subscribers are eligible if they are enrolled at a U.S. Title IV accredited college or university and meet verification qualifications.
2. Paramount+

Students are eligible for 25% off an Essential monthly subscription on Paramount+. The discount is available to college or university students who are currently enrolled at an accredited, U.S. Title IV higher education institution, and you’ll keep the discounted price for four years after verification of your student status, even if you graduate during that time.
3. Amazon Prime Video

This service is free with an Amazon Prime subscription — and students are eligible for 50% off their Prime subscription as well as a six-month free trial.
4. Spotify

Students are eligible for Spotify Premium Student at $5.99 a month. That compares to $11.99 a month or more for the other Premium plans. Even better, Spotify Student includes access to Hulu’s ad-supported plan. Finally, students who haven’t tried Premium in the past can get three months free.
5. YouTube Premium

Students are eligible for one free month and then pay $7.99 a month instead of the normal $13.99 a month. Student memberships are good for a maximum of four years, and you must reverify your eligibility each year.
6. Peacock

Students can enjoy their first year of Peacock Premium for only $1.99 per month. After that, the regular price of $7.99 per month applies. To qualify for the discount, you must first verify your student status with SheerID. Once verified, you’ll receive a unique promo code that can be used to set up a new Peacock account or be redeemed within an existing account on the “Plans & Payments” page.
7. NFL Sunday Ticket

You’ll never miss a game if you sign up for the NFL Sunday Ticket Student Plan on YouTube. It will set you back $199 for the 2024-25 season, which is a substantial savings off the regular annual price of $479. Students must be at least 18 and enrolled in an accredited college or university — which will be verified by SheerID. This offer is only available to students based in the U.S., and those in U.S. territories do not qualify.
