Working from home is the dream for many people. These days, technology makes that dream a reality for many people, especially for those in the market for part-time positions.
The employment website FlexJobs scoured their database to find the companies offering the greatest number of remote, part-time job opportunities. Their analysis is based on job postings from July 1, 2018-Oct. 1, 2018.

1. Class100
A Chinese company, Class100 hires English speakers to teach the language remotely. The company offers an online teaching service used by more than 100 schools in China. English as a second language (ESL) teachers are needed for students ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old. A bachelor’s degree and teaching experience may be required for positions. Grand Canyon University is an interdenominational Christian institution in Phoenix. It hires adjunct professors to teach online courses in a range of subjects including finance, psychology and education. A master’s degree may be required. This Indian company specializes in training, education and transcription services among other things. It hires translators and editors on a contract basis. Much of its work involves editing documents in fields such as biochemistry, computer science and psychology. Job candidates may be required to have an education in these fields as well as editing experience.
4. GreatAuPair

With headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, this for-profit company offers educational services to students at all levels — with focus on K-12 instruction, test preparation, online higher education and professional training. It hires remote workers in a wide array of capacities. According to FlexJobs:

7. Robert Half International
Robert Half International is a professional staffing company based in Menlo Park, California. The company has diverse remote job listings. In the past, it has sought out business analysts, technical writers, attorneys and accountants. Education and experience requirements vary by job.
8. FlexProfessionals
Another staffing company offering part-time, remote positions is FlexProfessionals. This Fairfax, Virginia-based company has opportunities spanning many industries — with job listings such as paralegal, digital project manager, travel specialist, senior accountant and wellness coordinator. According to the company, its employment opportunities are “designed for candidates re-entering their careers after a break, those wanting to scale back their hours, or people launching a second career.”
9. U.S. Department of Commerce
Working remotely is so common nowadays that you can even work from home for the government. The U.S. Department of Commerce often hires partnership specialists — both full-time and part-time — who are responsible for working with community organizations and local governments on various initiatives. Positions may require some local travel.
10. VocoVision
VocoVision, based in Skokie, Illinois, hires sign language interpreters, speech therapists and school psychologists as well as other similar professionals. State certification and a master’s degree are required for some positions.
11. Rasmussen College
This for-profit institution of higher learning is based in Bloomington, Minnesota, with campuses in several other states. Rasmussen College hires instructors from across the country to teach its online associate and bachelor degree programs. Specific degrees or certifications are required for some jobs, and positions may include some travel.
12. Profit Factory
A Canadian company, Profit Factory helps businesses grow while streamlining their processes and projects. The majority of its remote job listings are for virtual assistants. 14. Walden University
This accredited online university largely serves working adults who are pursuing a graduate education in fields such as nursing, psychology, education and technology. In addition to remote faculty, Walden University hires academic coordinators, dissertation editors and program assistants who work from home.
15. UnitedHealth Group
UnitedHealth Group provides health insurance and benefits services to people in all 50 states and 125 countries worldwide. While many of its remote jobs are for professionals in the health care field, such as nurses to oversee staff activities, the company has also hired data scientists, attorneys and business analysts to work remotely.
16. Connections Education
Connections Education, a part of education company Pearson, is based in Columbia, Maryland. It offers virtual services to students in grades K-12. Its remote job listings include opportunities for teachers, administrative assistants, counselors and more.
17. Aviacode Inc.
Based in Salt Lake City, Aviacode provides medical coding and auditing services for health care facilities, physician groups, payers and surgical centers nationwide. The majority of its work-at-home opportunities are for medical coders familiar with various health care specialties. Certification and experience is required or preferred for many jobs.
18. Gun.io
Gun.io offers an online platform for employers to connect with workers in the mobile and web industries. It has its headquarters in Nashville, although the company also has offices elsewhere in the country. Gun.io hires tech developers, engineers and architects to work remotely.
19. Lionbridge
Specializing in language translation and localization services, Lionbridge hires remote workers worldwide. The Massachusetts-based company has previously hired social media evaluators, map quality analysts and internet assessors for work-at-home positions. Bilingual skills are required for some jobs, but not all.
20. IQVIA
IQVIA is a publicly traded health care intelligence company with headquarters in Durham, North Carolina. As a global company, it hires remote workers from across the world. Its past FlexJobs listings have included many sales representative positions as well as researchers and other specialists.

Strayer University is another institution of higher learning that specializes in online services for adult learners. It awards degrees and certificates in fields such as business, criminal justice, education and health services. Part-time, remote jobs are largely for teaching assistants, and a master’s degree is required for many of these positions.
22. Rosetta Stone
Rosetta Stone is known worldwide for its language-learning programs. Based in Arlington, Virginia, the company regularly hires online language tutors. Many of these positions are for native English speakers, but positions are also available to individuals fluent in other languages.
23. Achieve Test Prep
Achieve Test Prep, headquartered in Wayne, New Jersey, operates dozens of campuses nationwide. It provides test preparation and consulting services for college-bound students and their parents. Achieve Test Prep hires online instructors for its classes but also hires remote workers for administrative, customer service and content creation positions.

Arizona-based Magellan Health offers insurance and health care services to millions of Americans. Its remote job offerings have been diverse. Among other positions, it has hired medical directors, care managers and IT workers for 100 percent remote jobs.
