Recently, The Harris Poll used survey results and its own QuestBrand brand management software tool to name favorite grocery product brands by age group.
Specific generations value each of the following brands more highly than the population of U.S. adults as a whole, which is known as “over-indexing.”
Generation Z

The top food or beverage brand that over-indexes with this generation is: Prime
Prime is an energy drink that was so trendy it once was listed on resale sites for $1,500 a can. Its popularity has come crashing down to earth since then, but the beverage still has a place in the hearts of Generation Z.

Millennials

The top food or beverage brand that over-indexes with this generation is: New Amsterdam
New Amsterdam Vodka first appeared in 2011. E. & J. Gallo Winery founded the beverage, which quickly caught on and set sales records for a spirit.
Millennial drinkers especially have gravitated toward it.

Generation X

The top food or beverage brand that over-indexes with this generation is: Absolut Vodka
Absolut Vodka emerged in New York in 1979. It was unveiled in a bottle designed to pay homage to a 18th century medicine bottle.
Today, the vodka is still produced in southern Sweden and tastes “exactly the same” as it did 45 years ago, according to Absolut.

The Chiquita banana company has roots that reach back to 1870. Just under 30 years later, the Boston Fruit Company and the Minor C. Keith railroad company merged to form the United Fruit Company.
The company later changed its name to Chiquita Brands International. The famous “Miss Chiquita” logo first appeared in 1944.
