Overall homeowner satisfaction with windows and patio doors has remained flat in 2025 when compared with 2024. On the other hand, satisfaction with delivery and installation of those goods jumped, according to J.D. Power’s latest annual U.S. Windows and Patio Doors Satisfaction Study.

For the study, J.D. Power surveyed more than 3,000 customers who had purchased windows or patio doors in the prior 12 months. Overall satisfaction among all retailers in the space was 737 on a 1,000-point scale, the same as in 2024.

However, scores for delivery and installation jumped 11 points, from 738 to 749.

In a summary of the study findings, Michael Taylor, senior managing director of retail intelligence at J.D. Power, said:

“The delivery and installation of windows and doors is one of the most personal — and often most stressful — steps in the home improvement process. It can feel intrusive and complex, so seeing a meaningful increase in customer satisfaction at this stage reflects a real commitment by retailers and installers to improve the overall experience and treat the home and customer with care and respect.”

Based on the survey responses, these are America’s favorite places to buy windows and patio doors.
