Superheroes and free doughnuts? What’s not to love?
Although fictional characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America, Spiderman and Black Widow probably come to mind when you think of superheroes, National Superhero Day is also a good reminder to honor the real everyday heroes in our midst.
“Sometimes all it takes is a delicious sweet treat to show appreciation for those in our lives who impact us in both big and small ways,” Tony Thompson, president and CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, said in a statement. “There really are superheroes all around us, and this is the perfect way to spread joy and celebrate those heroes.”
Although you don’t have to be dressed like Batman or Wonder Woman to snag the BOGO dozen donut deal, Krispy Kreme said dressing up like your favorite super hero is “super encouraged” on April 28.
Krispy Kreme said the following locations are not participating in the BOGO deal on Superhero Day: Albany, Georgia; Macon, Georgia (both locations); Walter Robbins, Georgia; Spartanburg, South Carolina; Anderson, South Carolina; Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; and Connecticut shops.
Do you plan on cashing in on the BOGO free dozen donut special at Krispy Kreme on Thursday? Who is your favorite superhero (real or fictional)? Sound off below or on our Facebook page.
