Crazy as it sounds, shopping for a vacuum can require as many decisions as buying a car.
In both cases, you must set a budget, decide which type is right for you and research the many brands and models to find the best product for your needs.
Organizations like J.D. Power make the process easier, though. The market research firm’s 2021 Vacuum Satisfaction Study reveals which vacuum brands consumers like best, with three brands dominating.
J.D. Power rated vacuums in three categories — robot, stick and upright. In each category, just two brands earned above-average scores.
More than 3,800 consumers were polled for J.D. Power’s latest annual study. All of them had purchased a robot, stick or upright vacuum in the prior 12 months.
