Loyal Aldi shoppers know it well — the legendary “Aisle of Shame.”
The affectionate nickname is a nod to the delights and temptations this section of the store poses to customers.
Everything from clothing to home decor lines the shelves of the Aldi Finds area (its official moniker), and the selection typically changes every Wednesday.
This week’s Aldi Finds deal is a dream for holiday bakers. Aldi’s Crofton brand is offering shoppers nonstick baking pans and sheets for $9.99 apiece. The options include a:
- 48-cup mini-muffin pan (20.5 by 14.6 inches)
- Sheet cake pan (18 by 11.9 inches)
- Cookie sheet pan (20.9 by 15 inches)
If your kitchen is like mine, your current baking sheets are … well, let’s say “fashionably distressed.” And while that’s a sign that you’re a serious baker, it’s not so great when guests are watching the big reveal.
Besides the great price and aesthetic upgrade, here’s what I love about this deal:
- Quality: Crofton’s bakeware pieces are made of heavy-gauge steel. These won’t warp or bend under high heat.
- Size: Bake like you mean it. All three items are large enough to make delicious treats for a big group.
- Choice: I’m always impressed by Aldi’s pricing simplicity. Pick the pan(s) you need and don’t worry about a markup.
When it comes to price, the competition crumbles (see what I did there?). This Wilton 13-by-20-inch cookie sheet retails for $19.34 at Walmart as of this writing, and on Amazon, this GoodCook 48-cup mini muffin pan costs $21.99.
