The Samsung Galaxy S21 is one of the newest Android phones out there, and it still costs a pretty penny to acquire. Thankfully all three major carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon) offer deals that can get you a Galaxy S21 for free.

All the deals involve either switching carriers or upgrading your existing cellphone plan, along with trading in your old device. On top of that, you essentially have to agree to a two-year contract where your phone will be paid off over time.

As nice as it would be to get a new phone for free with no strings attached, you’ll need to agree to these terms to qualify for the deal. If you end up ditching your carrier before the phone is paid off, you’ll need to pay the difference for the balance remaining on the device.

So, if you’re going to take advantage of a Samsung Galaxy S21 deal, make sure it’s with a network you’ll stick with for a while.

AT&T Galaxy S21 Deals

You can get up to $800 off a Samsung Galaxy S21 with AT&T right now. As we all expected, you’ll need to trade in your old device and purchase the phone via monthly installments to get the deal.

Your phone will be automatically paid off by AT&T over the course of two years. The best part about AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy S21 deal is that new and existing customers can take advantage of it.

All you need is an AT&T unlimited plan above the starter plan, and you can get the full $800 discount on your S21 device. You can use that $800 to pay for the Galaxy S21 in full, or you can use that $800 credit to heavily discount the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

T-Mobile Galaxy S21 Deals

T-Mobile matches AT&T’s $800 discount offer, but the rules require you to sign up for the pricey Magenta MAX plan to get the full deal. That means you’ll need to trade in your old device, purchase your phone via monthly installments and sign up for the Magenta MAX plan to get the deal.

The good news is that existing Magenta MAX users can take advantage of the deal without having to change plans.

If you don’t want to sign up for the Magenta MAX plan, T-Mobile has a backup deal that gets you $400 off a Samsung Galaxy S21 if you go with another plan. You can actually boost that discount up to $800 if you purchase two Galaxy S21 devices at the same time.

So, if you have a buddy that wants to go in on a pair of Galaxy S21 phones, you can both get the $400 discount. Here’s what the T-Mobile cellphone plans look like with the S21 deal:

Verizon Galaxy S21 Deals

Verizon also matches the $800 offer, but you need to activate a new line to get that big of a discount (along with the phone trade-in and monthly installments). Existing Verizon customers can get up to $700 off a new Galaxy S21 by following the same steps.

It’s a bummer that existing Verizon customers don’t quite as good of a deal, but it’s better than nothing. Verizon clearly cares more about attracting new customers because you can also get up to a $1,000 MasterCard gift card when you port in your old number from a different carrier with Verizon. Make sure to upload your bill to Verizon’s website after finishing the port-in process to get the gift card.

Take a look at Verizon’s cellphone plans and see if anything would be a good fit for you:

It can be sort of tricky to actually get these deals to work, so make sure to follow the steps outlined above to take full advantage. Feel free to talk to sales rep for help if you have any trouble cashing on the Galaxy S21 deal.
