Ah, the lint roller. It’s hard to remember how we removed fuzz and pet hair from our clothing before it entered our lives.

This little modern-day miracle can do a lot more than de-lint your clothes, though.

You can use a lint roller around the house for everything from removing pet hair from furniture to lifting dust from delicate items like lampshades, says cleaning expert Melissa Maker, author of “Clean My Space: The Secret to Cleaning Better, Faster, and Loving Your Home Every Day.”
