Shopping for your fur babies can definitely get expensive! One way to offset those costs is to stock up on essentials during major sales like the annual Amazon Pet Day.
This annual pet sale from Amazon is historically a great chance to grab incredible savings on everything your furry, feathered or scaly friends might need — from pet food and treats to grooming supplies, allergy products and of course, stimulating pet toys.

The 2026 event is officially scheduled to start on Monday, May 11 and run through Friday, May 15, and early deals are already starting to pop up. This is the first year the sale has been extended from 48 hours to a full five days of deals.

Do I Have to Be an Amazon Prime Member to Shop the Pet Day Sale?
Nope! You don’t need a Prime membership to shop this sale. Amazon Pet Day is open to every shopper, so anyone can snag those discounts on treats and toys. While the sale is open to all, Prime members do get some added perks — like faster shipping and exclusive year-round discounts. If you’re looking for value that lasts beyond the sale window, a membership is a solid move, but it’s certainly not required to save big.
How Much Does Amazon Prime Cost?
New members can sign up for a 30-day free trial. Once that’s up, the subscription is $14.99 a month, or you can opt for the $139 annual plan. If you go with the yearly option, you’ll end up saving about $40 overall compared to paying month-to-month.
