Job site Monster, using data from PayScale.com, has figured out the six positions that are most likely (but not guaranteed) to offer health insurance to part-timers.
First, here’s their definition of part-time and the rules they used: “All salaries listed are median, hourly salaries for workers with five to eight years of experience. Part time is defined as working fewer than 30 hours a week.”
With that clear, here are the jobs…
- Registered Nurse (Median Hourly Pay: $27.90)
- Mechanic (Median Hourly Pay: $18.30)
- Surgical Technologist (Median Hourly Pay: $17.80)
- School Bus Driver (Median Hourly Pay: $14)
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (Median Hourly Pay: $12)
- Bank Teller (Median Hourly Pay: $10.90)
The pay might sound low on those last few, especially with part-time hours. But not everybody needs full-time work, and given the benefits, combining one of these with another part-time job or self-employment could work out for some people.
