Make the hefty car maintenance bills worth your while. One company ranks highest for customer satisfaction with full-service maintenance and repairs — for the sixth year in a row.
J.D. Power’s 2025 U.S. Aftermarket Service Index Study ranks service providers based on feedback from a poll of over 10,000 vehicle owners. Specifically, customers were polled about the following factors:
- Ease of scheduling/getting vehicle in for service
- Fairness of charges
- Service advisor courtesy
- Service advisor performance
- Service facility
- Time to complete service
- Quality of work
The average customer satisfaction score among all providers of full-service maintenance and repair services that were included in the 2025 ranking climbed by 15 points since last year — but one company came out on top.
Christian Bros. Automotive scored 855 points out of 1,000. For comparison, the average score across all ranked companies was 816.
Christian Bros. may not be a big name like others on the list, such as Firestone, but it has more than 300 locations across the country, with more shops in the eastern half of the U.S.
One reason customers may favor Christian Bros. is its use of technology.
J.D. Power’s report says that service providers who provide photos and videos in a multi-point inspection (MPI) “have a much easier time getting customers to accept additional work recommendations. For instance, among full-service maintenance and repair customers who receive an MPI with photo/video, 41% have the recommended work done.”
Just 17% of customers who receive an MPI choose to have additional work done without the aid of a photo or video.
Christian Bros. franchises are also likely meeting consumer demands when it comes to overall experience.
The company’s website explains its promise of “The Nice Difference.” In addition to “honest service,” this also means “customers have access to free Wi-Fi, complimentary shuttle services, and other amenities as they wait for their car service to be completed.”
They also have the Nice Difference Care+ program. It’s a subscription-based vehicle care plan that promises a comprehensive level of coverage with a deductible that decreases to $0 after two years.
Christian Bros. isn’t the only company that consumers ranked highly.
Other companies that scored higher than the average customer satisfaction score of 816 for their full-service maintenance and repairs are:
- Meineke Car Care Centers: 843
- Goodyear Auto Service: 828
- Firestone Complete Auto Care: 825
The following companies fell below the average:
- Pep Boys: 811
- Tires Plus: 804
- Mavis Discount Tire: 794
- Midas: 794
- Monro Auto Service and Tire Centers: 785
J.D. Power notes there’s room for all companies to improve, “especially in areas like facility cleanliness; post-service follow-up to ensure work was performed satisfactorily; and promptly attending to customers upon arrival.”
