How to Get 6 Free Hallmark Greeting Cards This Year

A dollar store usually is the best place to buy greeting cards. You can’t beat prices like $1 and even 50 cents — unless you live near a Hallmark Gold Crown store.

Those retailers are giving cards away for the duration of 2020.

From now through Dec. 31, you can pick up one card from Hallmark’s Just Because line for free each month at a Gold Crown store. In other words, you can snag as many as six brand-name greeting cards for free this year.

Normally, the Just Because cards cost $1.99 or $2.99 apiece — meaning you could save up to $17.94 plus tax if you start taking advantage of this promotion in July.

The only hitch is that you must be a member of Hallmark’s loyalty program, Crown Rewards, to take advantage of the freebie. Members will receive a new coupon for a free card each month.

Joining Crown Rewards is free, and you can join online. Plus, Hallmark is currently offering a coupon for $5 off a $10 purchase to folks who sign up for Crown Rewards.

As a Crown Rewards members, you earn 10 points for every dollar you spend at Gold Crown stores and on Hallmark’s website. Plus, you get opportunities to rack up bonus points. Points are converted into Reward Dollars, which you can spend like cash.

Hallmark also offers exclusive deals — like the free “Just Because” cards — to Crown Rewards members. You can scope out the current member-only deals on the Crown Rewards offers page.
