Costco has unique beginnings. It first opened as Price Club in 1976 and catered only to small businesses.

It also didn’t operate out of a typical storefront. Costco made its debut as a business in a converted airplane hangar in San Diego, California.

The company then switched its model to serve members and opened the first official Costco warehouse store in Seattle, Washington, in 1983. It went on to become the first company to grow from zero to $3 billion in sales in under six years.

Today, the warehouse club serves millions of members at hundreds of locations around the world, known for offering low prices and the company’s fan-favorite Kirkland Signature brand.

And the good news for all who love Costco is that it’s still growing.

On a quarterly earnings call in May, Costco executives say they plan to open 27 new warehouses in 2025, upping their total location count to 914 worldwide. Any of those openings and relocations could be in your neighborhood.

Here is every Costco location in the U.S. that has opened or will open this year. Those that are already open for business are marked “Now open.” Those with forthcoming grand openings are listed with their opening dates.
