A clean airport makes travel more pleasant, and three North American airports go above and beyond when it comes to keeping things scrubbed and polished.

The Airports Council International’s latest annual Airport Service Quality Awards honor airports around the world for the best customer experiences. The awards were based on 595,000 surveys of travelers.

One of the awards honors the cleanest airports around the world. Following are the winners in North America, followed by the honorees located on other continents. All rank among the top 5% in the world for cleanliness.
