Welcome to our “Work From Home Q&A” series. You ask a question about remote work, and a guest expert answers it.
You can learn how to ask a question of your own below.
This week’s question comes from Richard:
“What are some work from home jobs are available, particularly ones that don’t require a college degree?”
From sales rep to medical coder
There’s a pretty wide range of remote jobs with all levels of experience and education required.
According to an analysis of job posting data at FlexJobs, the most common remote job titles include accountant, engineer, teacher/faculty/tutor/instructor, writer, consultant, program manager, project manager, customer service representative, business development manager, and account manager or account executive.
Remote jobs that tend not to require a college degree are positions like customer service representative, web developer, sales representative or executive, data entry specialist, administrative or virtual assistant, interpreter or translator, social media evaluator, donor recruiter and medical coder.
Some of these are entry-level positions that don’t require much experience, while others require experience but not a degree.
