Fees tacked on for bags, “premium seats” (you know, the ones they haven’t shrunk) and other services mean the fare often isn’t the total cost. And the article says travel sites like Orbitz and Expedia are complaining they don’t know all the fees.
In May, the Department of Transportation will decide whether airlines have to give that information to people who sell their tickets. Airlines are already unhappy they were forced to disclose unavoidable fees this past summer.
