4 Chains Offering Free or Cheap Pretzels on Thursday

National Pretzel Day may be an unofficial “holiday,” but the freebies and discounts are real.

This year, we’ve identified four chains that will serve up free or cheap pretzels for National Pretzel Day, which falls on Thursday.

Just call to confirm your nearest location is participating in an offer before you head out — with the exception of Pretzelmaker. That chain has made it easy by listing all participating locations on its website.

If you’re wondering why Auntie Anne’s isn’t on the following list, we had yet to see any official announcements from the chain of pretzel shops as of Monday morning. But last year it offered a freebie via its My Pretzel Perks app, so you might want to download that so you don’t miss any offers.

1. Ben’s Soft Pretzels

Donate at least $1 to the nonprofit Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to aid military personnel suffering traumatic brain injury and psychological health problems, you’ll get one free traditional Jumbo Soft Pretzel on Thursday.

Ben’s Pretzels has more than 75 locations, primarily in Indiana and surroundings states. Stadium locations are not participating in the National Pretzel Day offer.

2. Philly Pretzel Factory

Participating locations will give one free pretzel to every customer on Thursday.

Philly Pretzel Factory has locations primarily along the East Coast.

3. Pretzelmaker

Follow Pretzelmaker on Facebook or Instagram — and show the cashier proof of that on your phone — and you’ll get a free salted or unsalted pretzel on Thursday.

This chain has hundreds of locations across the U.S. A list of stores participating in this offer is available on Pretzelmaker’s website.

4. Wetzel’s Pretzels

This chain is offering “free pretzels for all” on Thursday — which it calls National Wetzel Day.
